We always encourage our couples to think of a place with meaning to them for their engagement pictures. Sometimes that means the place where they got engaged. Or the place they first met. Or their favorite date night spot. Or the park they take their dog to every night. Or the place a family member works where they’ve always gotten special behind-the-scenes access.

In Abbey and Sam’s case, they are so easygoing and totally trusted us to choose a beautiful spot for their pictures. It wasn’t until I suggested the P&G Gardens that we knew it was the perfect option – this is where Abbey’s parents got engaged! We believe the legacy of love that will grow from your commitment to each other is one of the greatest gifts you could give your family, so it couldn’t have been better to go back and visit the place where her mom and dad made that same commitment all those years ago. Where they first decided they would love each other through the best and worst times. Where they had no idea the life they would build together and the places their young love would take them. I love to think about Abbey and Sam’s children cherishing these images and one day going back to this very same spot. Where Mom and Dad celebrated their engagement. Where Grandma and Grandpa got engaged. Where the legacy of love began.
