The Bell Event Centre hosted the most incredible party to celebrate a beautiful story that began just over two years ago. After getting to know each other on Bumble, Andrew and Laura went on their first date to MadTree Brewing. They bonded over their CPA careers and found out that same day that Laura had been approved to adopt a sweet puppy named Renzo. Over the course of the next year, they traveled together, met each other’s families, and enjoyed plenty of red wine and Mexican food.
Andrew and Laura told me they love their friends and family. That is the understatement of the year. These two love their people fiercely, and it’s obvious how much they prioritize those relationships after spending any amount of time with them. On their wedding day they stood at the back of the crowd hugging and greeting people for the first half of the reception, and they spent the second half lighting up the dance floor. They even went out of their way to provide sweet activities for their kids in attendance at each table so they wouldn’t be bored. On the day they got engaged, Andrew popped the question with Renzo’s help at their favorite park to walk their energetic pup – and I got to hide in the bushes and capture the moment! It was perfect and intimate and perfectly THEM. But he knew Laura would want to celebrate with the friends and family they love most. So he took her out to celebrate at their favorite restaurant while all of their people gathered at The Transept to surprise her with an incredible engagement party that very same night.
If there’s one thing I never get tired of, it’s a couple that wants to spend their wedding day TOGETHER. From the first look to the dance floor, these two filled their day with laughter and friendship and togetherness. Laura, I will never forget your dad coming up to me in the middle of the dance floor at The Bell Event Centre and telling me how beautiful your mom is. (I think his actual words were, “Look at her! My wife is hot!”) What a foundation of love you are building on from each of your families. Each of your sweet relationships with your parents, and each of their strong marriages, paint a picture of love that stands the test of time. Andrew and Laura, thank you for including us in the magic of your big day. You are already building the most beautiful future together.
