Jessica and Jason were our first ever Leap Day wedding! Their gorgeous celebration at The Madison Event Center also fell on one of the coldest days of the year. Even though the temperatures were brutal, especially right on the river at George Rogers Clark Park, their bridal party kept us all laughing! Still, we were able to duck into Hotel Covington to warm up for a bit before the ceremony, and their courtyard provided a gorgeous backdrop for a few quick portraits.
These two definitely know how to throw a great party. From packing out The Madison Event Center dance floor all night to being the early front runners in our 2020 Cake Smash Championships, they kept everyone laughing and having a blast. As per their tradition, Jason and his groomsmen serenaded Jessica with KC and JoJo’s “All My Life”, and Jessica and her dad surprised us all by interrupting their first slow dance with a choreographed mashup.
Throughout their day, they had so many personal touches. Jessica had Jason’s grandmother’s pin on her bouquet, Jason gifted her with a record of their first dance song, and they wrote each other letters to open on the morning of the wedding. We always recommend EVERYONE write each other letters on their wedding day, if for no other reason than because it’s so much fun to go back and read them every year on your anniversary!
Jessica and Jason, thanks for letting us celebrate with you two. We couldn’t be happier for you!!
