Honey Locust Farm showed off with perfect weather for Rachel and Josh’s fall wedding. Rachel’s third grade son, Chase, completely stole the show at this Kentucky farm wedding! We were so impressed by his funny and charismatic speech – “Ladies, makes some noise for how good I look tonight!” – and for his bravery in calmly flicking a spider out of his mom’s hair. His sweet emotions got the best of him as Rachel came down the aisle, and it was such a precious picture of the special bond a boy shares with his mom. But what stood out to us most was the relationship Josh and Chase share. It absolutely melted our heart watching how intentionally Josh included Chase in every part of the day. From getting ready time to racing golf carts around with the rest of the bridal party to giving Chase a starring role in the dance he choreographed to surprise Rachel with at their reception, it was clear that Josh was passionate about making sure their wedding day was memorable for both his bride and his boy.
Josh and Rachel first met while working at LaRosa’s, and over time their friendship grew into much more. But along the way, they never lost that “best friend” sense of humor and fun. These two spared no detail on their big day (did I mention how INCREDIBLE their donut bar smelled… and tasted… and looked?! Or how perfectly behaved and well-dressed their dogs were?), but they also incorporated so many touches that were unique to their fun-loving relationship. From sealing their marriage with a secret handshake before sealing it with a kiss to one of the best groomsmen dances we have ever seen, their farm wedding was a perfect blend of traditional and fun. Josh and Rachel, we LOVED being a part of your celebration. Congratulations!
