After seven years of dating, Jessica and Ethan finally got to say “I do” at their dream Northern Kentucky wedding venue. They chose to wed on their own six acre property in the heart of Florence, and hosting the event at such a personal location made the day that much more special. Their photos showcase more than just beautiful light and a happy couple. They also incorporate the gravel driveway to their first home, the patio and landscaping her dad put in for them himself, and the home they will spend their first years as husband and wife in. Because their Northern Kentucky home provided the backdrop for their celebration, they were also able to include their sweet Golden Retriever, Ella, as the “flower dog”. You guys – Ella is like a dog MODEL. I seriously thought she was smiling for the camera several times throughout the day!
Jessica and Ethan weathered five years of long distance while Ethan pursued his degree at Ohio University, and that makes this time of togetherness that much sweeter. One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was listening to both best men recalling the first time they heard about Jessica. Ethan had talked to them both about getting up the nerve to talk to “the girl” at a party they planned to attend, even though he wasn’t typically the type to get nervous around girls. They both knew right away that this one was something special. And they were right.
Jessica, seeing your eyes well up with happy tears on your walk down the aisle to your groom, it is so clear how much you two adore each other. You two had more than just perfect weather and a gorgeous setting for your day. You had an incredible support system, a killer party, and a once in a lifetime love. Thanks for trusting us with such precious memories! We love you guys!

Katie and Riley are proof that good things are worth the wait! Although they had to postpone their Ault Park wedding reception nearly 5 months after their original wedding date, the party could not have been more perfect. From a bridal party full of friends and family who traveled more than 6000 collective miles to celebrate with them to a generous stranger who picked up their entire wedding party’s tab at the bar, it was never more clear just how loved these two are.
Plus, Katie and Riley just bring the FUN! They set a record as our first couple ever to want to go down a slide in their wedding attire, and I think you can FEEL the bus shaking when you look at these pictures of their lively bus ride. Their Yorkie groomsman, Beau, even got to join the fun in his custom-fitted tuxedo to match the other bridal party members!
Katie had always dreamed of celebrating their wedding at Ault Park, and even though COVID almost forced them to cancel the party, we were so thankful to be able to get it in! Allie with Premier Park Events was nothing short of AMAZING, especially when it came to helping us wrangle everyone for the sparkler exit. And I seriously wish EVERYONE would hire The Chuck Taylors for their reception. These guys were SO. GOOD. They played everything from Taylor Swift to Journey to Britney Spears, and I’m telling you, it was all amazing and the dance floor was packed! Chef’s Choice Catering was delicious – they even spoiled us with plated meals and cake (thanks, Tres Belle Cakes!). Katie’s attention to detail made everything come together, from her work putting wax seals on the menus to her customization of the mirrors to the perfect collection of brass candlesticks she hand selected for the head table.
Katie and Riley, even though your walk through wedding planning was more stressful than usual, we are so glad we got the gift of celebrating with you a whole extra day! What a blessing to be able to work so closely with you two and after this whole crazy process to now be able to call you friends. Thank you for trusting us with your memories! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two!

In light of everything going on in our world with COVID-19, Bailey and Tim opted to cancel their reception and have a microwedding with only their closest friends and family. But even without a reception, their day was nothing short of a party. These two met at work and dated for seven years before they promised each other forever. As their officiant so eloquently put it, when they said “I do” they were promising to love and each other even when life sucks and respect each other even when there were things they would change about them. In our culture, we can be so quick to forget how simple it is. We just have to keep choosing to keep that promise, when everything is great and also when everything is hard.
Their hot September wedding day threatened rain but held off until evening. We took full advantage of the chance to get outside for portraits, and even played a bit of Frogger on the Roebling bridge to get “the shot”. Bailey and Tim are were naturals at posing even without an engagement session and are just so clearly well matched. They have so much fun together and don’t take themselves too seriously. I had the best time getting to spend the day capturing their love!
For their small ceremony, Mansion Hill Sanctuary provided the perfect backdrop. It’s in the cutest area of town, tucked away in Newport, Kentucky and exudes a timeless blend of classic white walls, high ceilings, and beautiful exposed beams. And even though they didn’t have a big wedding cake, they made sure their guests didn’t leave hungry and gave away cupcakes as wedding favors. Bailey and Tim, your day was perfect in every day and we were so thankful to be a small part of it! Congratulations!

From it’s old world charm to the mile-high windows and ceilings to it’s outdoor courtyard space, The Steam Plant is a beautiful all-in-one venue to celebrate any wedding! But in Ciara and Nate’s case, their love easily outshone even this beautiful venue. These two high school sweethearts got engaged in Charleston last year and started planning their dream wedding. And then… COVID-19 hit. They went back and forth and considered postponing multiple times. But in the end, they decided that the most important thing was getting married and celebrating their love. So on the most perfect 80 degree sunny day in September, Ciara and Nate promised to love each other for the rest of their lives. In spite of guests having to wear masks. In spite of social distancing. In spite of missing buttons and broken boutonnieres and malfunctioning bustles.
What mattered was their bridal party dancing so hard that the bus was literally shaking as we drove behind it. What mattered were the hilarious speeches from their siblings and laughing with their families. What mattered was the way she fit into his arms and the way he makes her smile like no one else can. What mattered was their love for each other.
Ciara and Nate, I know it wasn’t what you originally planned. I know it was a million times more stressful than normal wedding planning. I also know it was a beautiful part of your story. Love is not cancelled. You have the most AMAZING years ahead of you. And I’m so glad that one day you’ll get to tell your babies that even a global pandemic couldn’t keep you two from getting married. You two can take on anything together. Congratulations – we are so happy for you both!
