Kerry and Drew decided to save their big party for next year to keep their guests safe, but they still wanted to tie the knot this year in front of their closest family and friends! On a 90 degree August day, they married in their home church. From their party bus driver to their bridal party, they were surrounded by people who had been supporting them and bringing them together their entire lives. Kerry’s uncle drove their party bus and kept the fun going from early morning until late evening. Kerry and her maid of honor, Jill (who also happens to be a killer videographer!), have been friends since birth. Their grandmothers were neighbors and their moms were friends from school, so they were destined to be be best friends! Kerry even met Drew because he was friends with her brother.
When these two got engaged at Kerry’s family lake house, they never could have imagined the decisions they would have to make and the plans that would be altered by COVID-19. But when the day finally came, it make it that much more special. Kerry and her dad were both overwhelmed by emotion when they got to see each other for the first time on her wedding day. And Drew and Kerry both got emotional reading letters from their almost spouse just before they walked down the aisle.
Kerry and Drew, you are one of those couples that EVERYONE just loves. We loved seeing the joy you have together, but also the joy you bring to everyone around you! Thanks for trusting us to be your Cincinnati photographer to capture these precious memories to look back on forever. So glad we get to celebrate with you one more time next summer when you finally get to throw your big party!

Neither a pandemic or a little rain could dampen Emma and Andrew’s celebration at The Cincinnati Club! These two met in college and knew right away that they had met the one. After connecting at a party and talking and dancing all night, they set up a date for the very next day. And the next day. And the next day. They ended up going on a date EVERY DAY that week… and the rest is history.
And it’s easy to see why. These two compliment each other perfectly. Emma can get that infectious laugh out of Andrew without even trying. He is her calm in the storm. And maybe most importantly, when Emma’s dad asked him how he knew Emma was the one, Andrew confidently responded, “I prayed about it.” Watching the two of them pray together before they said, “I do,” it was clear that they were preparing for a marriage, not just a wedding. They wrote their own vows to share with each other, and as Andrew quoted from the movie, Up, “Adventure is waiting. And I know who I want to share it with.”
Emma and Andrew, you two had a killer dance party, a beautiful wedding, and the start of a lasting marriage. You are in for the greatest adventure yet. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

Maria and Nick’s rustic barn wedding was full of ALL the emotions, and for good reason! On top of planning a long engagement so Maria could finish school before they wed, they were met with the additional challenge of COVID-19. The pandemic forced them to reschedule their May 30th day to the end of July, but that didn’t stop Nick from surprising her with an outdoor movie night and mini celebration on their original wedding date!
When it finally came time for their first look, Nick got choked up preparing to see his bride. Sometimes those quiet moments before the big walk down the aisle, when it’s just the two of you, surprise our couples with how much raw emotion they bring. Seeing the way he looked at his bride as he realized he was FINALLY going to get to marry her… that today was the day… that there would be no more delays… it was an emotional moment, for sure.
Maria and Nick, we had so much fun celebrating with you two at The Josephina! You had the most beautiful day, and even though it was nothing like what you originally planned or expected, it was perfect! We loved getting to be a small part of your wedding day – CONGRATULATIONS!!
Nick used this sweet mini book when he proposed to Maria. I loved that she thought to bring it along so we could photograph it with all of their other wedding day details that tell such a big part of their story!

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming. Replanning a wedding can be REALLY overwhelming. COVID has brought with it so many unexpected challenges from gathering restrictions to job losses to canceled flights and closed down venues. As Cincinnati and Dayton wedding photographers, we have been so impressed by how positive and optimistic our couples have remained throughout the process. Katie and Andrew were no different!
In the span of about a month, they replanned their large celebration to an intimate gathering at their home and the nearby neighborhood park. Family and friends came together to transform both spaces into the perfect backdrop to celebrate Katie and Andrew’s love! In so many ways, the microweddings are quickly becoming our favorite things to shoot. There were so many pieces of their wedding day that they didn’t get to have. But the most important things got to shine even brighter because of the more intimate setting. We got to explore Dayton together – the city where they went to school, met, and fell in love. They wed at some of the places their love has grown – in their home and neighborhood – and because of that, their sweet rescue pups got to be a part of the fun! They set a record with our first ever mother son dance to turn into a conga line. 😉 They got to witness how loved they are as they watched those who loved them most set early morning alarms and spend the day working hard behind the scenes to make everything magical for them. They got to have a friend officiate their big day. And in the end, they got to be MARRIED. And there really isn’t anything more important than that.
Katie and Andrew, you are some of the best! We pray you always continue to make each other laugh as hard as you did on your wedding day, and we pray you never start sweating the small stuff. Thank you for letting us hang out with you all on your wedding day – we love you guys!
