As photographers, we are in such a unique position to be able to create on brand content for our social media and web presence. But for our friends who own other types of small businesses, it’s much more difficult to create consistent content to showcase their work and let their clients get to know them. Honestly, it is what makes brand photography such a passion of ours! We love being able to showcase not just the work of our fellow business owners but who they are.
In Allison’s case, you will NOT find a more joyful and fun person to work with! Not only does she have the most amazing gift for creating gorgeous wedding stationary, but she knows the impact your invitations make on your guests’ first impression of your big day. Allison has a heart for taking stress off the plates of her couples and for truly listening to their vision and making it a reality. And she also offers the most amazing collection of semi-custom invitation suites for those in the market for gorgeous custom-feeling invitations without the timeline and cost of a custom designed suite!
When she reached out about a branding session, we got a chance to get to know each other, and I am thankful to call her a friend! Allison wanted to rebrand Kindly Delivered and celebrate the launch of her new semi-custom line and website with joyful, bright, colorful images, and I think we nailed it! From rainbow macaroons to confetti and champagne, this launch showcases both her raw design talent and her infectious laughter. Trust me, you want BOTH in your designer! She is passionate about making sure your invitations are true to your love story, and she is SO gifted at crafting timeless paper goods to set the tone for your wedding. If you are hunting for a stress-free, fun, timeless stationary design experience with someone you will call a friend by your wedding day, Allison is your girl! Matt and Natalie met and feel in love during their time at the University of Kentucky, so it was only fitting that their marriage also began in Lexington. As Lexington Kentucky wedding photographers, we have seen couples face all kinds of challenges on wedding days from traffic delays to weather issues to wardrobe malfunctions to a global pandemic. But because of COVID-19, these two also had to deal with a reception venue that closed down weeks before their wedding. Although they had their hearts set on celebrating their marriage on the campus where they fell in love, the Hilton Lexington stepped up for them in a big way and provided a gorgeous reception space on short notice.
Even though their wedding didn’t look exactly as they had planned with masks and distancing restrictions and a new venue, they did such a beautiful job making every part of the day special. Natalie wrote their Father Daughter Dance song herself, which was beautiful. The priest knew and loved them both from their time at the Newman Center on UK’s campus where it all began. Their friend, who Chris and I are pretty sure is going to have a recording contract soon, wrote and sang a song about their relationship at their wedding ceremony. They did a second line entrance to their reception to pay homage to Matt’s Louisiana roots. We even took their wedding pictures at Jacobsen Park, where they had their first date going for a run around the lake and grabbing coffee. Side note: Technically Matt is still debating that this was a date, even though it included him picking her up, paying for her coffee, talking for almost four hours, and him asking her what she was looking for in a man… sorry Matt. We are siding with Natalie on this one. 😉
Natalie and Matt, you are so loved. From Matt wanting to include your family in the proposal to your dad being willing to face his fear of heights and climb up Indian Staircase just so he could hear you say yes, you both value family and it’s clear that they value you. Your faith is at the center of your marriage, and nothing can make you two stronger. Your adventure is just beginning, and we are so excited to watch it unfold. Congratulations!

Our favorite newborn pictures are simple, timeless, and classic. No fancy props necessary… just beautiful light and a perfect tiny baby. Honored to get the opportunity to preserve these fleeting moments forever.
One of the reasons I love photography so much is that it isn’t just taking pictures… you get to capture a wonderful story of this moment in someone’s life. I always like to ask if my clients have anything special to include in the photographs – sometimes they have an item a family member made for baby or a special blanket handed down from an important person in their lives. Often, these are the favorite pictures because they hold such unique meaning.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to photograph Miss Sarah, a 9 day old little ball of snuggly sweetness. Like always, I asked her momma if she had anything to incorporate into the pictures, but the answer I got this time has been on my heart and mind nonstop since she said it. She pulled out a sweet pink lovey and told me that they had been trying and praying for a child for years but had endured a lot of loss in that time. This tiny pink blanket was something she had purchased YEARS earlier in faith that God would give her that beautiful baby girl she and her husband were praying for.
As I laid it in the basket next to this fragile little one He had given them to take care of, it was such an awesome image of His faithfulness and such a powerful testament to her faith. As I drove home, I couldn’t stop thinking of this couple and their new baby. Such a powerful story behind this photo, and I just had to share!
